Story

De Tham nights, fried pork belly in the air

Three pieces of a night rice cart.

The sidewalk

The dining room is the curb

Seating is sidewalk-only, no indoor room. A few plastic tables, the glowing glass cart, a steady stream of customers — Saigon night rice at its purest.

The name

Gia He sells no gia he

Diners laugh: the name has nothing to do with the menu. But the odd name became the brand — everyone remembers “the Gia He broken-rice stall on De Tham”.

The bus stop

50 metres from Phuong Trang

The cart sits right by the Phuong Trang bus station at 272 De Tham — step off the bus and eat. Foreign visitors come too, thanks to the bilingual menu.

QUAN GIA HE

Named Gia He, selling broken rice — a sidewalk night spot at 269 De Tham, District 1.
