STORY

Mộc means simplicity

In the shop's own words: mộc means simplicity in Vietnamese — also wood, also tree. The name says it all: no fuss, just good rice in an old brick house in District 1.

THE NAME

Mộc means simplicity

The shop's own introduction: mộc means simplicity — also wood, also tree. From the name on, the shop chose its way: plain, honest, unshowy.

THE HOUSE

Old Saigon, intact

Raw brick walls, wooden tables, vintage photos wall to wall, cassette tapes, a black-and-white TV and 8x-era music — old Saigon recreated on Ly Tu Trong street.

LUNCH HOUR

The office crowd's lunch

A varied menu, fast plates, warm staff — Mộc is the office crowd's broken-rice regular in District 1. The brand also runs counters at Vincom Dong Khoi and Takashimaya (per a 2024 guide).

CƠM TẤM MỘC
