The rooftop letters say COW EXPRESS, and beneath them, SINCE 2014. The billboards on either side say what the kitchen does: BEEFSTEAK on one side, PASTA on the other.

Inside, the room is small and cozy: black tablecloths, wooden chairs with red cushions, and a checkered floor at the entrance. One wall is white-painted brick with a colourful FOOD IS BEST mural; another carries a beef-cuts illustration board above grey brick tile.

The plates arrive sizzling: beefsteak on black stone plates with fries, broccoli, carrots, roasted garlic and dipping sauces, on branded paper liners. Pasta comes with shrimp and crab stick; salad comes with grilled salmon, lettuce, red cabbage, cherry tomatoes and olives.

Evenings here belong to birthdays. Tables are dressed with balloons, glowing letters, letter boards, bouquets and cakes, and small groups of friends gather under the string lights.
