A narrow shophouse on Lê Lợi: bold gold letters over full-height glass, a compact two-level dining room with a bright dandiya-dancer mural arch, marble-pattern and floral table covers, woven bread baskets and steel thalis — lively, family-friendly, and known for Gujarati, Jain and pure-veg Indian food.

Finding it
The gold letters over the Lê Lợi glass
Bold 3D gold “GUJARAT INDIAN RESTAURANT” letters over the full-height glass facade, double glass doors with a frosted name band, a black menu lectern on the pavement and one stone step up — that is how to spot the house from the street.

The signature
The dandiya mural arch and the steel thali
Inside, a painted Mughal-style arch holds colourful dandiya dancers in chaniya cholis and turbans, lettered “Gujarat Indian Restaurant”, brightening the zone of patterned blue tablecloths. On the tables are steel thalis, woven baskets of papad and rotis, square steel water pitchers, ceramic cups and woven napkin holders — warm light from woven rattan dome pendants and recessed spots, with daylight through the front glass by day.
The room
A compact two-level room, two zones
The ground floor is a narrow dining room of rows of four-tops; the upper level sits behind a frosted-glass railing lettered “GUJARAT RESTAURANT”, reached by a glass-and-wood-handled staircase near the service counter clad in vertical wood slats. Two zones: a brighter mural zone and a busier main floor around the counter and staircase. Dark-stained wooden ladder-back chairs with black padded seats, light wood-look tile floor, warm white-cream walls.
The room & the food
