Story
Mùi Cake · 490/12 Lê Văn Sỹ · Nhiêu Lộc
Mùi Cake is a small celebration-cake shop in the Lê Văn Sỹ alley — no sit-down tables, no coffee counter: the display fridge is the store, and the gift box is the product.
The shop sits in a small alley off Lê Văn Sỹ, its glass front framed in lime green under a hanging “MÙI CAKE” sign. Inside, the lit glass fridge holds pastel minis — satin and organza bows, “Happy Birthday” and “Happy Anniversary” picks, fresh fruit and twisted candles.
The cakes here are lightly sweet on purpose — the tiramisu is flagged as very lightly sweetened — and the jam is house-made. The shop's voice is printed right on the packaging: “TAKE A BREAK AND ENJOY YOUR CAKE”, with the green oven mascot hugging a red heart on paper bags, the window and stickers.
The menu is organized by diameter, the way the shop sells: cream cakes in 10, 12, 16, 20cm; gift sets of 2, 4, 6, 9 minis; pre-order cookie and candy jars. 10cm cakes are mostly ready for immediate delivery; larger cakes and jars are pre-order, delivered from 5 PM the next day.

Satin and organza bows, butterfly boxes, message picks — and “SO MUCH SWEETER WITH YOU” on the box. The recipient remembers the box as much as the cake.
The tiramisu is very lightly sweetened; the jam is house-made. A cake you can finish — a whole mini — without it cloying, which is the point of a takeaway bakery.
Address 490/12 is an alley off Lê Văn Sỹ, not a main-street front. Look for the lime-framed glass and the hanging “MÙI CAKE” sign — see the sign and you have found the shop.
