Our story

Sài Gòn Kitchen Vina

One Saigon table — three regions meet

“A Saigon table telling the story of Vietnamese from three regions converging and forming this city's palate” — the owner's words. Following the footsteps of migrants from all regions, Saigon absorbs diverse cultural streams, and every guest becomes part of Saigon's living tapestry, one shared meal at a time.

The house sits on the Pasteur–Nguyễn Du corner, minutes on foot from Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office — a natural stop after sightseeing. A cool ground floor, an upstairs room, and a first-floor balcony over the street with evening lanterns; reviewers keep returning to the same words: quiet, clean, cool, “very Vietnamese” and nostalgic.

Eating here means sharing: family feast tables, a private room for large parties, outdoor seats with mist cooling. Staff are praised as kind and attentive without intruding, explaining dishes to guests. Two low notes in reviews: one dish that did not match its photo (Mar 2025) and one forgotten dish (Sep 2024) — a consistency question, not a closure sign.

Do not confuse it with a same-named venue: this is a standalone restaurant at 86 Nguyễn Du, District 1 — not the Saigon Kitchen Restaurant inside Hôtel des Arts Saigon (76–78 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, District 3), which serves a hotel buffet. Different addresses, phones, websites and concepts.

Three regions

North, Central and South on one table

Mekong bánh xèo, Central-highlands grilled chicken with bamboo-tube rice, Northern crab-paste hotpot — three regions as a way of ordering, not a slogan.

Feast table

Sharing is the point

Family feast tables, a private room, a pictured menu with prep-time stamps — the house is set for the whole table to eat and talk together.

Balcony

A lantern balcony over Nguyễn Du street

Upstairs, a balcony looks over the street and lights its lanterns in the evening; inside is cool, quiet, very Vietnamese and nostalgic.
