Story
Eclectic restaurant · District 1 · 252 Lý Tự Trọng
SOLOBOX takes its name from its own idea: every solo diner gets a “box” of their own. Not a shared table, not a makeshift seat — a long counter with partitions, screens and red stools, set in a bright room with a white perforated block wall.
The restaurant sits at 252 Lý Tự Trọng, Bến Thành, District 1. The red facade carries the white oval SOLOBOX sign, the round SB monogram with a fork-and-knife motif, a red blade sign, and a striped awning. Inside the glass: red neon “Restaurant” script with neon burger, pizza-slice and chicken-leg icons.
Inside is a long, narrow, bright room in white with red accents: the solo-booth row along the wall, red tables, red chairs, a red banquette along the white perforated block wall. The walls carry repeating backlit “SOLO BOX” light boxes, photo menu boards, a digital touch menu, a “TACOS / MEXICAN FOOD” poster, red cone pendants, white disc pendants, light tile floors, and a blue arched doorway at the rear.
The mood is relaxed, casual fast-casual, in daylight, never packed: one person dining solo at the window counter, a few tables at midday, a small group of young adults with orange juices. Staff wear black t-shirts with SOLOBOX in red on the back, serving at the red tables.

The white perforated block wall runs the length of the room, backing the red banquette and red tables — the room's most recognisable detail after the red facade.
A grilled steak plate with asparagus and roasted garlic, chicken mushroom pasta, steak pasta in orange-cream sauce, and a steak-and-fries bowl — dish names describing what the photos show.
