Banan

BANAN · “JAPANESE CAKES FROM CHILDHOOD MEMORIES IN FUKUOKA”

Banan was born from Yuki's childhood memories in Fukuoka and the local ingredients that make Saigon special: Dalat milk, Dalat strawberries, Ba Huan eggs, together with Japanese and French ingredients.

Banan opened in 2021 with one simple goal: to recreate the Japanese cakes from Yuki's memories, using Saigon ingredients. Every cake is freshly made each day, with no preservatives added.

The best seller began with a discovery on Yuki's way to school: her first Cookie Choux. From it, the shop keeps one philosophy — simple cakes, gentle sweetness, and the quiet feeling of the Japanese countryside.

At Lê Thánh Tôn the shop is small and quiet: pick a daifuku, a glass of whisked iced matcha, and sit for a while. If Saigon has touched you the way it touched Yuki, Banan hopes you find a little calm in these cakes.
