Morico

MORICO · “YOUR COMPANION WHO EXPLORES THE FOREST OF JAPAN”

The name Morico was born on a walk through a forest north of Nikko in autumn 2017: small streams, wild terrain and a serene clearing. The house service philosophy is “Omotenashi” — hospitality with sincerity.

Morico is proud to have been the first to introduce matcha to the Vietnamese market in July 2009. Its matcha comes from Shizuoka, and quality control runs through every cup served.

After matcha came powdered houjicha (2014), then genmaicha (2018) — a special 50/50 blend of matcha and roasted rice. The three teas form the menu's trio.

The house calls itself “creative artisans”. When you come to Morico, you are a family member coming home: the house observes and strives to meet your unique needs.
