Go up to 2F — don't stop at street level
The ground floor is only the narrow entrance and staircase. Look for the wooden ROOTS sign, the sidewalk açaí boards and the “Welcome to 2F” poster in the stairwell.
Story
Plant-based café · District 1 · 113–115 Lý Tự Trọng, 2nd floor
ROOTS is a plant-based café on the 2nd floor — not at street level. A narrow ground-floor entrance leads up to a bright, airy room with a long wooden communal table, rattan dome pendants and indoor palms; açaí is what the café invites you in with from the sidewalk.
The café sits at 113–115 Lý Tự Trọng, District 1, in a narrow shophouse. The wooden slatted box sign overhead reads gold ROOTS with a green-leaf sprout mark, “PLANT-BASED CAFÉ” and “2F 113-115 Ly Tu Trong”. At street level there is only the narrow entrance and the staircase up, with a “Welcome to 2F” poster in the stairwell; outside are açaí sandwich boards, potted plants and a small lantern.
Upstairs is a bright, airy room in warm wood tones: a long wooden communal table down the middle with smaller wooden tables and chairs around it; a wood-slat ceiling carrying rows of woven rattan dome pendants; tall palms in planters and hanging greenery throughout; white corrugated and wood walls, a large grey tile floor, high windows bringing in strong daylight. At the back is the counter with wooden shelving, menu boards, glass display cases for pastries and cakes and drinks fridges; the serving paper is printed with the house sprout-logo pattern. Daytime is calm-to-moderate — casual diners, laptop workers and breakfast crowds.
The menu centres on plant-based plates: açaí and dragon-fruit bowls, nori and taco bowls, toasts, a toasted sandwich and iced drinks, plus the breakfast combo of toast, a layered açaí-chia glass and coffee listed at 200,000₫. In the café's own words, its avocados come from Lâm Đồng, near Da Lat — the café's own account, not independently verified.

Woven rattan dome pendants hang in rows from the wood-slat ceiling; tall palms in planters and hanging greenery fill the bright room. The long wooden communal table is the shared seat down the middle.
Only the breakfast combo carries a clearly listed price: 200,000₫ for toast, a layered açaí-chia glass and coffee. The other dishes have no listed price — ask at the counter when ordering.
