Story
SOKO · THAT PLACE · SAIGON
i had brunch at soko
Soko is the first member of SOKOGROUP, an all-day dining spot leaning into brunch: European brunch classics with a modern and Asian twist. In Japanese, ‘Soko’ means ‘that place’ — the shop hopes to be that place customers choose, whether for a quick pick-me-up drink or a relaxing weekend brunch with loved ones.
The space revolves around hues of beige, neutrals, black and touches of greenery, in contemporary modernism: clean lines and geometric shapes. Against bustling Saigon, the shop aims for peace and warmth — and thanks to a large window looking out on greenery, every floor is a spot for ‘brunch with a view’.
Each signature brunch plate is meticulously prepared by the chefs, including Vietnamese street food such as banh mi chao given a modern twist, alongside eggs Benedict, full English breakfast and pancakes. The bakehouse has been a point of pride since day one: cube croissants, Cronuts, cruffins, donuts — with more than 130 Cronuts and 180 Rondos sold daily, and new flavours created all the time.
Soko values the customer experience above all: food and drinks are perfected before they are served. The shop opens 8:00 AM–10:00 PM daily, and on weekends dine-in seating is capped at 2 hours because demand is high. From the team to every member, the shop invites you to brunch with them — and hopes to be a must-try brunch spot in Saigon.
