The white SOUMAKI sign, number 42
The storefront carries a white channel-letter SOUMAKI sign and the number 42, with a “Taste the goodness of health” banner. Inside is a long room: sage-green walls, wood tables, terracotta and ghost chairs, sage dome pendants.

Dot art and curved lettering
The walls carry orange, green and grey dot art and curved black lettering reading “your healthy food soulmate”. In the evening, sage dome pendants glow over ghost chairs and orange spindle chairs.
Build your bowl
Base, protein, vegetables — then sesame
Ordering here is build-your-own: a base of white rice, black rice or soba; a protein of medium-rare beef, salmon, chicken breast or grilled shrimp; vegetables from broccoli, corn, carrots, cucumber, pumpkin, edamame, sweet potato, asparagus and bok choy — plus onsen egg and sesame.
