One end — the day shift
From 9–10 AM the workshop runs its coffee shift: tables among the gears and gauges under the ceiling, daylight on the workshop floor. A characterful café before it is a bar.
176 Le Lai · Ben Thanh · District 1
A steampunk workshop on Le Lai — coffee by day, and by night a bar with no fixed list: the bartenders build each drink to your taste, phở cocktail included.
The workshop — two shifts
Mechanic runs like a real workshop: by day it is a coffee shift, tables spread across the workshop floor; by night the riveted copper counter takes over — and the night shift does not work from a printed list.

From 9–10 AM the workshop runs its coffee shift: tables among the gears and gauges under the ceiling, daylight on the workshop floor. A characterful café before it is a bar.
At night the counter takes over and the menu disappears: you say what you like, the bartenders build the drink around it. The phở cocktail is the house signature; house kombucha-style infusions are part of the counter's craft.
Three frames to open
The lit sign over the back bar, a mint-finished cocktail, and a table of cocktails and bites — how an evening at Mechanic opens.
The MECHANIC letters glow above the back bar — the room's anchor once the lights go down.
A mint-finished cocktail, built on request — no two drinks at Mechanic have to be alike.
The bar kitchen sends out small bites alongside the drinks — a full table is the night shift's usual rhythm.
