EMME

Behind an unmarked green door and a doorbell, a tiled bar tells its love story in cocktails — four letters, four chapters.

Four letters — two ends of a love story

The menu reads like a love story

Owner Truc — who designed the room himself — wrote the menu in four E-M-M-E chapters: the meeting, dating and marrying, a lifetime together, then the toast. Each chapter is a beat of the same story.

The first E — the meeting

The story opens with the meeting: the menu's first drinks belong to the meeting-and-dating chapters, from when Truc was a stranger to this room — he designed it before opening Emme here.

The last E — the toast

By the final chapter the story closes with a toast to love — and the menu's cover carries a fresh poem by Tin, the bar's resident poet, rotating with each edition.

The tiled room, a signature pour and a coupe by the window — how an evening at Emme opens.

Cream tile, a long counter and the ribbon of light overhead — a room drawn by its owner, an interior designer.
